I liked this ice cream shop. It was our first time going and we went around 9:30pm so the mall stores were all closed. However if you park in the blue garage(right next to orange) and you take the elevator up to the District(food) court(top level) you will see the ice cream shop. It’s right next to the AMC IMAX theatre. I like their concept of half scoops so that you can have more flavors. They give you samples so when in doubt check it out first and then make your choices. Their waffle cones/bowls are made in-house and delicious. The best part for me though is how welcoming and upbeat the employees were. They were giving our group great recommendations and gave us samples so we all were very happy with our final choices. This was our first visit but not our last. We did spend about $9/pp. Sharing some pictures that my daughter took.

Checked out Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams in Oakbrook and it totally lived up to the hype. They had a really nice selection and the staff was super friendly.. kept offering us samples until we finally made up our minds (which was hard because everything tasted so good). The place is nicely decorated with a fun vibe, though it can get a little crowded at times. The ice creams were delicious and surprisingly reasonable for the quality. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area with a sweet tooth!

This is a cute place with friendly staff and amazing ice cream! I have gotten into trying the non-dairy varieties, and they had two flavors when I was there: lemon, and Texas Sheet Cake. Oh. My. Goodness. The lemon was sweet and rich; my mouth is watering at the mere thought of it. I had almost finished it before I remembered to take a photo. And the Texas Sheet Cake is so chocolatey, you would never guess it's non-dairy. I will be back to try more flavors!

Every mall should have an ice cream place like this. Very clean, large variety. Plenty of seating inside and out of the establishment. The ice cream itself, seemed good quality. If you enjoy ice cream and are not lactose intolerant, you have come to the right place. Bussin!

As soon as you step into Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, you're hit—no, hugged—by the intoxicating aroma of freshly made waffle cones and sugary goodness. It’s like walking into a dessert dream. The air is thick with nostalgia, the kind that instantly transports you to carefree summer days and childhood joy. I ordered the waffle cone bowl with two scoops: Darkest Chocolate and Salty Caramel and let me tell you, this duo is nothing short of divine. The Darkest Chocolate is no ordinary chocolate. It’s rich, bold, and almost sinful in its depth, think melted chocolate bars and midnight cocoa stirred into velvet. The texture? Silky and dense, like a frozen truffle that melts on your tongue with a whisper of bitterness that balances the sweet. Now the Salty Caramel, this was the real surprise. Buttery, golden, and complex, it hits your palate in waves: first sweet and creamy, then a punch of sea salt that makes your taste buds sit up and pay attention. The caramel is clearly slow-cooked, giving it that deep, toasty flavor with hints of vanilla and brown sugar. The waffle cone bowl was warm, crisp, and laced with cinnamon, adding just the right crunch to contrast the creaminess. The combination of hot and cold, sweet and salty, smooth and crisp was perfect. Every bite was a revelation, and I found myself closing my eyes just to savor the moment. My personal takeaway? If you’re looking for more than dessert, if you want an experience this is the place. Do yourself a favor and get the waffle cone bowl. And don’t be afraid to mix bold flavors. Trust me, your inner child (and your adult self) will thank you.

The ice cream here is great. I had the coffee ice cream which is made with Intelligensia coffee and it was very clear that you could tell it was theirs. It tasted to me like it was their analog espresso blend in the ice cream. They also have a few non-dairy options which are pleasant to see.

The ice cream here was decent overall, though I can’t say the flavors I tried really stood out. They were pleasant enough, but fairly ordinary, nothing that made me stop and think “wow.” The texture and taste reminded me a bit of something you might find in a grocery store rather than a small-batch or homemade style. That makes me curious whether they produce their ice cream in-house or if it’s sourced from a larger supplier. That being said, the shop itself had a nice atmosphere, and the service was friendly, which makes me want to give it another chance. Sometimes it just comes down to picking the right flavor, and they do have quite a variety on the menu. I plan to go back and sample a few others before making up my mind completely. Who knows, maybe I just didn’t hit on their best offerings the first time around. Overall, I’d call it an average experience so far, but with potential. If the other flavors turn out better, it could be a place worth revisiting more often.

The mint chip ice cream here is unbelievably good. Just be mindful they do half size scoops, so if you want a normal size double scoop, you will want 4 of the 1/2 scoops. Prices are very fair and reasonable for the quality and the volume. The waffle cones are fresh and super tasty as well.
